Residents in Namayingo district are all smiles after completion of construction of their ferry.
The director Road infrastructure Protection-Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Engineer Reuben Tumwebaze says the ferrry that cost 15 billion shilings will connect Namayingo mainland from Watega landing site in Bukana sub-county, Sigulu to Dolwe Islands.
Tumwebaze adds that the ferry will be launched in September to help improve trade and service delivery.
This comes a week after the commissioning of the MV Buvuma ferry that connects Buvuma Island to the Mainland Buikwe District.
