Taxi and the bus drivers including boda boda riders in Kamuli were yesterday held up in a meeting with traffic officers over the amended traffic law.
Represented by the Traffic and Road Safety spokesperson Charles Sembabulidde the meeting held at Kamuli Youth Centre was aimed to making clarification on the new law.
Sembabulidde says the law will go a long way in reducing the high rate of road accidents which lead to an estimated 10 fatalities per day.
It should be recalled that penalties and fines have been enhanced in the law for offences such as over speeding, driving without licenses, speaking on phone while driving among others.
