With two new deaths in one day, arising from COVID-19, the cumulative death toll has now hit 250 people according to the Health ministry.
The same report from Government, released Tuesday evening notes that there are now 34,281 people who have contracted COVID-19, since April this year. In just one day, 308 more people were found with the virus in just one day’s tests.
By December 25, the ministry of health reported that there were 245 people who had succumbed to COVID-19 since its outbreak in the country; after combing through several other countries around the world.
Cumulatively, the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 has also stepped up from 33,563 cases by Christmas this year.
The world is currently faced with a pandemic of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), a new virus that spreads so fast through droplet infection especially in crowded places and causes illness. It is spread from person to person through sneezing or coughing (droplet infection), human to human contact and contact with contaminated surfaces.
Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 include Fever, Running Nose (flu), Cough, General Weakness, difficulty in breathing if the patient develops pneumonia
The health ministry and the government’s reminder to the public has always been to adherence to the guidelines which include wearing masks, keeping social distance, and washing hands with either soap or disinfectants
