Two people of the same family died instantly and one rushed to Mbale main hospital in critical condition after being knocked by the vehicle along Mbale Butaleja road.       

The incident happened in Namusakata trading center Busoba sub county Mbale district at the border with Butaleja district

Jimmy Ssegawa Ebil the RDC Butaleja who was at the scene few minutes after the accident identified the decease as Irene Mutonyi 35 years, her daughter Haskya Aisha 11years.                                                                                                             

The injured one was identified as Namugasya Aisha 11 years all residents of Namusakata trading center. The accident happened at 4:50 pm

Eye witness said that the driver of the vehicle Toyota primo registration number UBF 117L lost control and rammed into the house were the deceased were seated.                    

Residents attributed the accident on over speeding. 

Jimmy Ssegwa Ebil the RDC Butaleja said that he has received complaints from the public about the number of accident in that area. He asked the traffic officers, UNRA to put humps on the road because many accidents have been registered at that point.                              

Godfrey Mwesigye the Elgon regional traffic officer said that three passengers who were in the vehicle attempted to take off but they were arrested by the public and taken to Busoba police station where they are being detained.
