Police in Namisindwa destroys bridges illegally put by residents at Uganda Kenya border

Police in Namisindwa have destroyed 10 illegally erected bridges on river Lwakhakha at the border of Uganda and Kenya.

Rodgers Taitika the Elgon region police spokes person said that the bridges were raised by the people who were smuggling goods, and also crossing from Uganda to Kenya and from Kenya to Uganda and yet the borders were closed.

Taitika said that police got a tip off from some concerned residents and worked with political leaders to destroy them.
