Parents and sugarcane plantations owners to be detained over child labor says LC3 Ikumbya revealed that many people in the subcounty have not embraced the UPE and other free government progmes in schools.
Ikumbya sub county local government is to dentain children, offering laborforce to sugarcane plantations instead of going to school
The Chairperson LC3 Ikumbya subcounty, Wilberforce Ntumba says children have continued to cut sugarcane however much schools are opened for term two which has forced his council to resolve on are stakeholder in the said vice.
Ntumba voiced a warning to residents of Ikumbya before the planned action takes as he says.
