A five year old boy has perished in an accident and two others injured seriously. 
The accident occurred today at around 3:20pm at Bushalif trading center, Nawaikona sub county along Tirinyi – Mbale high two miles from Namutumba Town.
According to OC traffic Namutumba Johnson Yeheyo told this publication that double Cabin number UG 2508A of Amuria District Local Government coming from Iganga, wanted to over take a police water truck number UP 4681 and knocked three people from one family standing by road side.
Johnson, said a five year old boy died instantly.He attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving by the double cabin driver.


According to eye witness told this publication that the driver of the double cabin was driving at a high speed.
However by press time police had not named the deceased and the injured. But this publication has learnt that the mother plus her two children are residents of Buyanga Village, Nawaikona sub county Namutumba District. The deceased body was taken to Iganga Nakavule hospital for postmortem.
