Two residents of Wanyange Lake in Mafubira Division, Jinja District have started rotting after they were severely beaten by forces attached to Marine Fish Protection Unit on Lake Victoria.

The two identified as Edward Kyambadde, 26, and Ismail Senkunge, 25, are said to have been found in possession of immature fish as they were fishing in Lake Victoria and were taken to Namugongo barracks in Mayuge district where they allege, to have been beaten into coma.

With their buttocks oozing pus with some maggots, they are seeking for justice saying the marine officers should not be the complainant, prosecutor as well as magistrates.
