As NRM party continues with its election exercises, still many unsatisfied candidates are still continuing to put in their petitions to challenge the victory of their contenders and today, Journalist Charles Okaleb from one of the media stations and a resident of Buyengo in Jinja district has this afternoon put inn his petition to challenge the speaker of Jinja district Musana Nyende Micheal for his victory for the position of Buyengo town council district councilor on NRM ticket.
While in an exclusive interview with press at the Jinja NRM offices this afternoon at Lubasi road, Okaleb Charles says that what has forced him to put in petition is to challenge the total number of votes of 1500 votes that his contender Musana Nyende got from Nakivumbi village in Buwawuzi parish and himself got 1011 votes and according to NIRA the total number of the residents is 914 and the total number of voters is 369 .
Okaleb says that on Saturday this week they are to have a meeting with the NRM election officers to look for away forward and has however accused the officers behind changing peoples votes to be held accountable and be charged accordingly.
However when we contacted the speaker of Jinja district Musana Nyende for a comment on his air tel line he failed to answer and even the NRM Bosses were busy in field on the ongoing Sub county and town council elections.
