The government has been called upon to intervene and stop parastatal bodies like UMEME and National Water and Sewerage plus banks to stop demanding for payments till after the Lockdown has been lifted.

This call was made by Jinja district LCV Chairman Moses Batwala while responding to people’s cries.

He also appealed to government to soften the situation due to an un balanced situation where government cant provide essentials like food
