The opposition forum for democratic change has asked the government to compensate all victims of the bomb explosions that went off last week in Kampala.
The explosions according to Uganda police were carried out by three suicide bombers near the central police station while two others who disguised as boda boda riders detonated the bombs at Raja Chambers, along Parliament Avenue and, 7 people have died including the 3 terrorists who blew themselves and more than 33 people injured.
Addressing journalists at their offices in Najjanankumbi, the party spokesperson, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, says that president Museveni during his Saturday address admitted that the security sector which he personally heads, is sleeping most of the time and only wakes up after an incident.
It is against that laxity that FDC asks the government to ensure that all families of bombing victims are compensated for the loss of their dear ones and those whose property was destroyed.
FDC has also asked Ugandans to be vigilant as the country heads towards Christmas seasons.
“As we move closer to the festive season, we would like to advise the public to be extra vigilant because terrorism is real. Those involved in public transport such as taxis, buses & Boda Boda’s you must properly check the luggage of your passengers for your safety and public.’’ FDC wr0te on its twitter handle
