People in Busia district who are undergoing a Covid-19 pandemic vaccination exercise have raised their concern about the storage of the vaccine.
According teacher Ouma John who had come at Masafu hospital to acquire his first dose, raised his concern wondering how the vaccines are kept at the cold chine and yet the district doesn’t have electricity for the last months.
Ojambo Julius also a teacher at one of the schools in Busia district, also wondering saying that it’s true that the district doesn’t have power but how are they managing to keep the vaccine, such that it may help the people.
According to the District Health Officer for Busia District, Shongola Willis says that truly the district doesn’t have electricity for the last six months but as the department, they have some gas power which helps to keep the vaccine.
