Boda boda riders and other residents in Bugembe town council have turned against the Uganda National Roads Authority [UNRA] officials for forgetting their roles and just spending money just in tours from working on the drainage that have become too bushy in Bugembe.
While exclusively with press today afternoon during the tour of the of these officials from UNRA together with the LC3 Chairman of Bugembe Steven Wante to monitor and see how they can sensitize masses in the busy area of Bugembe on how the can maintain Hygiene in the drainage on the Jinja Bugembe Iganga highway however, some people have turned UNRA and asked the president of Uganda to scrap off this organization because nothing has done to public.
They have accused UNRA for failing the NRM Government in power because even the money meant to be used is being spent in tours and allowances and their visit to the drainage its nothing important to public.
However, the LC3 Chairman of Bugmbe town council Steven Wante has appreciated UNRA for responding to the visit of the drainages in the area and has asked public to have respect to the garbage dumping sites from just dumping in the drainages that the law from UNRA to council is very clear to work on such culprits.
But Muzaale Richard from UNRA has clarified on the importance of their coming and has however revealed to have an operation from the UNRA enforcement team to arrest and evict forcefully people that have deliberately made kiosks in their drainage areas and the law to work on them.
