NBS 89.4 FM was started as a political pledge in 2001 by Mr Igeme Nathan Nabeta, the Member of Parliament representing Jinja East Constituency from 2001 to 2011. The initial focus was for the radio station to serve, mainly, the constituency audience. NBS 89.4 FM, therefore, was founded as a community-based radio station. It was thereby registered as NBS Kodhe
NBS 89.4 FM provides a trusted and indispensable source of information, music, and entertainment while strengthening the civic and cultural life of the communities it broadcast to. The programming is designed to fulfil the needs of the listeners with specific products that match the listeners’ lifestyle.
NBS 894 FM is an arm of NBS Group which is broadly managed by a team of experienced. The management team is supervised by the Board of Directors.

Our mission is to acquire and install the latest transmission and broadcast equipment, to employ the most talented and relevant human resources in the broadcasting industry, to design programs that will involve the participation of the beneficiaries, and to locate and base the transmission and broadcasts equipment in the centr of the Busoga region.

- Coverage Reach: In Busoga, the coverage reaches Jinja, Iganga, Kamuli, Mayuge, Kaliro, Buyende, Luuka, Namutumba, Namayingo, and Bugiri. In Buganda, the coverage reaches Mukono, Buikwe, and Kayunga, and then goes as far in the East as Tororo, Mbale, Kibuku, Butaleja, Sironko, Bududa and Pallisa.
